About D & E Brake & Auto
Located at 160 Stonewood Ave, Rochester, NY 14616, D & E Brake & Auto operates as a brake shop serving Rochester in New York. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.
Brake, transmission, exhaust and glass work is often done by specialty shops that see the same job dozens of times a week. Brake shops replace pads and rotors the same day and usually inspect for free; transmission shops rebuild or replace automatics and clutches, a multi-day job that deserves a second quote; muffler and exhaust shops weld custom pipes and replace catalytic converters, which in many states must meet emissions rules. Alignment and suspension shops fix pulling, uneven tire wear and worn shocks, and radiator shops handle overheating and cooling-system leaks. Auto glass shops replace windshields, often at your home or office, and recalibrate the driver-assistance cameras mounted behind the glass. Window tinting and car audio shops round out the group.

We were in a bind to get my Mother-in-law's brakes fixed, the pedal went to the floor, seemed like a simple enough problem. After two visits to a Monro the problem persisted. I would NOT be making that mistake a third time. That's where D & E auto and Danny come into the picture. We brought the older car to them to give it a shot after a family member recommended him. Danny would not give up on getting to the solution, his words " I could not let the car go like that". He finally diagnosed the problem, and found a used part to help save us some money. He took a drive on his day off to try and source the part at a yard, and got there to find out the part was already gone. Step 2 ordered a refurbished part locally but that added about a week to the wait. Doesn't the part come in on a Friday, and he goes into the shop on the day they are closed to get us fixed up, because he felt bad we had to wait so long ( About a week and a half). There are very few true Gentleman Mechanics left in this world. I truly believe he has your safety and satisfaction in his mind for every greasy nut and bolt he removes. 110% recommend and will take my vehicles to him FIRST in the future.

Danny is the best in Rochester! He's always fair, honest, and courteous, and he does the best quality work one could ask for. My family has trusted him with our cars since we were led to him by another delighted customer of his.
